HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT 1-GROUP’S SIP & SAVOUR 2023

Conceived as a celebration of cocktail culture, 1-Group is back with its month-long Sip & Savour campaign. Happening across 24 February - 26 March, this second edition will once again see 8 iconic destinations spotlighted through bar collaborations, drink-and-dine programmes, guest shifts and happenings for a varied showcase of community and creativity within the cocktail industry.

ABOUT SIP & SAVOUR

Launched as an annual in-house initiative last year (2022), Sip & Savour is in essence, a month-long celebration of cocktail culture and community. Doubling as a creative exchange of sorts, the campaign shortlists a varied mix of guest and in-house bartenders to interpret chosen venues with their respective creative processes in a unique cocktail that incorporates the use of Johnnie Walker Gold Label, the official alcohol partner of Sip & Savour.

Intended as a cocktail extravaganza, the campaign also welcomes an exciting calendar of events to disrupt the regular drink-and-dine programming by inviting award-winning bars in Malaysia and Thailand for one-night-only Guest Shifts, themed brunches, grill-outs and parties, alongside ongoing promotions for a true-to-name discovery of flavours that brings out the ambiance of 1-Group’s 8 iconic destinations.

THE IN-HOUSE SIPS P1

Across the campaign duration, the partnership with Johnnie Walker Gold Label welcomes 8 outlet-exclusive cocktails that encapsulate the vibe of respective venues by in-house bartenders.

1/ AURELIUS, 1-ALTITUDE COAST, S$20
A tiki-inspired escapade of absinthe, dark spiced falernum, blue agave pineapple puree and passionfruit pulp with drops of Elemakule tiki bitters.

2/ GARDEN PITCH, 1-ARDEN, S$20
Mimicking lush urban greenery comes a citrusy, floral cocktail with peach liqueur, yuzu and and homemade rosemary orange juice for the perfect post-work calm.

3/ HIGH AS GOLD, 1-ATICO, S$20
Spirit-forward sip of whisky, vanilla liqueur, spiced syrup and honey water encapsulating sunlight at peak of ION Orchard.

4/ GOLDEN GLITZ, THE ALKAFF MANSION, S$20
A nostalgic twist of whisky sour with the uplifting zing of lemongrass and homemade honey crystals.

5/ JOHNNIE WALKER HIGHBALL, BEE’S KNEES, S$16
Classic highball building Johnnie Walker with 3 choices of fruit tea mixers (peach, elderflower and yuzu) to beat the heat.

6/ SPICED STARBURST, BOTANICO, S$18
An uplifting, spiced but approachable blend of whisky, elderflower cordial and ginger syrup with finishing whiffs of cinnamon and star anise fit for the Botanico Terraces.

7/ GOLDEN PALACE, THE RIVERHOUSE, S$20
An Oriental-inspired calamansi whisky sour with additions of apricot brandy, cinnamon syrup and kaffir lime leaf.

8/ PRÉS DE MIEL, THE SUMMERHOUSE, S$22
Berry-forward tipple that shakes raspberry liqueur, strawberry syrup, chocolate bitters, lemon and egg white into foam to capture the romance and whimsical surroundings of The Summerhouse.

THE GUEST BARTENDER SIPS

Initiated as a creative exchange that doubles as a cross-pollinating effort, Sip & Savour 2023 also invites 6 local bartenders from various establishments to create campaign-exclusive tipples based on the classic Highball that can be easily executable across all 8 venues.

Priced at S$20++, each Highball variant is meant to encapsulate the corresponding venue’s identity to facilitate curiosity in drinkers.

1/ Whisky & Cocktail Dinner - 9 March, 2023
Venue: FIRE

apanese-Peruvian and Argentinian Degustation menu at S$178 with Optional cocktail pairings at S$58 (2 glasses) or S$98 (2 cocktails and 2 whisky drinks) by Guest Shift Bartenders and former Diageo World Class Contenders, Jane Kaew-yod (Thailand) and Sam Wong (Singapore).

2/ Inks & Clinks Boozy Brunch - 11 March, 2023
Venue: Botanico, The Garage
5-Course Brunch Menu at S$88 with Asian-inspired brunch specials that include Asparagus Tempura with miso hollandaise alongside mains like an Assam Pedas Snapper on saffron risotto, and a Wagyu Beef Cheek with Asian pesto and a side of spicy papaya and apple salad.

Fashioned as a light-hearted brunch affair, diners are welcomed to pair their meal with a Hendricks Gin-based “Let’s Get Tropical” cocktail and test out potential tattoos with a choice of temporary Jagua-based ink tattoo at a pop-up booth by The Little Jotter.

3/ Day to Dusk Aperitivo x Aperol - 5 March, 2023
Venue: Zorba The Greek Taverna, Yin Bar
Enjoy spritz the Italian way with the Aperol cart pop-up that will be serving an Aperol Spritz trio (S$45++ for all 3) with Greek Brunch pairings at Zorba in daytime, Asian Tapas at Yin Bar by night - complete with live music performances for a chilled-out Saturday.

4/ Italian 'Eat-All-You-Can' Sip & Savour Brunch x Aperol - 5 March, 2023
Venue: MONTI
An all-out Italian brunch affair in collaboration with Campari Group, diners can fill themselves to the brim by ordering adjusted serves of anything on the Monti Brunch menu including The Monti Eggs Benedict, Truffle Risotto, Slow Cooked Beef Cheek and Spicy Italian Sausage – just to name a few for S$88 per pax.

Best enjoyed with a top-up of S$78 for bottomless serves of Aperol Spritz from the Aperol Mobile Cart, alongside free-flow house wines and pours, and a goodie bag of picture-worthy props.

Former Diageo World Class contenders, Jane Kaew-yod (Thailand) and Sam Wong (Singapore), mixing a one-night-only menu of Asian-inspired drinks against a stunning rooftop view.

3/ Guest Shift x Budi Bar Melaka - 25 March 2023, 6pm
Venue: The Alkaff Mansion
The proudly Malaccan folks of Budi Bar (Melaka) will be taking over The Vault (Alkaff Mansion’s hidden bar) with their serve of Melaka-inspired cocktails for a night of reinvented traditional flavours within heritage surrounds.

4/ Sip & Savour Closing Grill-out Party - 26 March, 2023
Venue: The Summerhouse
A glorious closing of eats and sips within the lush and vibrant setting of The Summerhouse, attendees can expect an abundance of char-grilled meats and seafoods sizzled in the open air against a backdrop of live performances.

Rounding off the campaign in true Sip & Savour fashion, drink seekers can pair their orders with all 8 campaign-exclusive cocktails for a discovery of venues through taste, along with a surprise rotation of
guest bartenders for a satiating Saturday.
