Everything you need to know about Luke’s Lobster new launches & a price adjusment

It’s oh-fish-ial. When we thought Luke’s Lobster’s rolls couldn’t get any better, they dropped the net with some eye-catching (or rather, lobster-catching…) news. Against the rise of inflation and the constant increase in prices, Luke’s Lobster has implemented a price reduction across the menu. In addition to that, they are debuting 3 brand new rolls - a warm twist to their chilled Signature Lobster Roll and limited edition flavours, Mala and Kombu just in time for National Day.

The Honest Roll: The Value of Transparency

In this day and age where conventional pricing models are the norm for premium menus such as lobster rolls, Luke’s Lobster sets a new standard of transparency by keeping the prices honest - especially since their delicacies are served straight from ocean to plate.

Following COVID-19, a sharp drop in lobster supply in Maine drove prices up causing the last price increment in June 2022. Now that the world is slowly healing, market rates have decreased and stabilised.

From 3 July 2023, the eatery has lowered their Lobster Roll prices $25.50 (U.P $29.50), in order to reflect the current market rates, ensuring that customers are able to enjoy fresh Maine-style lobster affordably. The price adjustment while maintaining portion sizes and quality is a direct result of the brand’s tight-knit and long-established ties with Maine lobstermen which cuts out any middlemen, allowing them to negotiate fairer rates for both customers and the local fishing community.

A comforting twist to a bestseller: The Warm Butter Roll

Conventionally best served chilled, the highly-anticipated Warm Butter Lobster Roll, a warm version of their Signature Roll, comes as a timely response to customer requests.

Following the successful launch of the Warm Butter Lobster Roll in the US as a new offering for the winter months, the branches in Singapore are thrilled to add it to their current menu, providing diners a warm, buttery heaven with familiar lashings of garlic, parsley, lemon and Luke’s special seasoning.

Luke’s Lobster x Atas Butter

Apart from the Warm Butter Roll, Luke’s Lobster Singapore is expanding the menu to debut two seasonal rolls ($28.50 before GST) in collaboration with local artisanal butter-maker Atas Butter to celebrate Singapore’s 58th birthday this August.

Why Atas Butter?

Atas Butter is a new independent business that started in 2022 with a simple goal of developing delicious butter creations with Asian flavours. Inspired by a trip to Tasmania, where cultured butter on fresh bread is changing the game, the brand decided to mimic that experience to dining tables in Singapore. With both Atas Butter and Luke’s Lobster shared penchant for delivering quality products to their consumers, a collaboration boasting Asian flavours with premium Maine-style lobster meat to satisfy Singaporean palates was a no-brainer.

The Mala Butter Roll keeps the savoury taste of mala, without taking the spotlight away from the lobster meat. A perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and not too harsh on the tastebuds, while accentuating the lobster’s flavour.

The Kombu Butter Roll on the other hand is a flavour bomb of umami, made with Japanese kelp butter and hand-chopped Kombu that compliments the lobster perfectly, encapsulating the best of the sea in one roll.
